Kava Kava - (Piper Methysticum )is an evergreen that is botanicly
related to the pepper plant . It is native to the Polynesian Islands of the
South Pacific. Roots of the plant are harvested between 3 to 8 years.
They are dried , cut and sifted , or ground into powder .
Preparation consists of soaking powder in cold water only as heat destroys Kevalactones .
It is used world wide to treat insomnia and anxiety 
with no known side effects .
